“死要面子”真有趣!



有姓氏公会负责人在报上感叹“会员不关心公会”,因为“大会出席人数欠理想”!

怎么会呢?心想,那可是州内数一数二的“风云”公会呀?为何不好好“关心”一下自家的公会呢?公会兴衰,会员有责呀?

笔者吃饱没事做,“偷瞥”一眼那“新届理事名单”:排在第一、二位的“永久名誉会长”和“永久名誉顾问”赫然是,业已“辞世”的两个亲兄弟!(先别瞠目结舌,一个爸来一个叔,何奇之有?)

当然,上榜的还有好几十个尚在世的“名誉顾问”,也都是“一时才俊、社会贤达”;如此“人才济济”的强大理事阵容,怎能不好好地加以“关心”一下呢?单单只是如今的“人心冷漠”吗?谁来指点迷津?

其实,似此“人神齐心、共商大事”,其利何止“断金”?天下哪有不能解决之事?只不知遇上重大课题须请教那“永久名誉顾问”时,不知将如何“恭迎圣驾”,抑或尚在世诸公“移樽就教”呢?确是有些“两难”!(总不能“霸着”宝座却是不“顾”又不“问”吧?)

对局外人来说,自然也没人会羡妒那“永久名誉”之位;只是“荣居”鹅江畔的华裔小民们天外飞来“宏福”,在如此英明的“最高领袖”谆谆教导下,“丑小鹅”很快就要飞上枝头作“凤凰”了!

  1. Nowadays, clannish associations etc. are being utilised for the service of political purposes directly or indirectly. When you are rich enough you naturally want to be famous too. So what better to do than give out some donations to earn the titles of posts of advisors and other appointed officials of associations to enhance their social position and their status in the eyes of the higher ups. In this way, grassroot support is largely ignored.
