I don't know if I have really grown old and senile as I do not find too much excitement during this Chinese New Year and the Yuan Ciaw Festival. Apart from some gathering based on clans,associations and various religious groups, I don't find much visiting around . Some gatherings are quite clearly meant to fish for votes soon to come. There were of course fire-crackers and fireworks around but no much human touch or atmosphere. Well I may be obsolete already!
