To say it is optimism or innocence may not get to the point strictly speaking. I would prefer to say life has to go on and there always be expressions of sorrow or joy no matter in bad times or natural disasters etc. Well it is appropriate to point an accusing finger at the culprits of the calamity because once one has been there for too long and unchallenged , one would thiink himself as infallible ?!
